Tim’s doing his last trunk shows at Patchington locations in Florida today, but managed to take a few pictures from his visit to the Stuart location.

On the Road with Softies

Tim’s on the road today and tomorrow in Florida, doing Softies trunk shows at several Patchington boutiques. Patchington’s motto is “…it’s all about you!” and that fits well with the soft comfort you get from Softies pajamas.

Patchington is hosting events in the month of May that highlight products that are Made in America. And given that Paddi Murphy just moved a bunch of our production back to the U.S., we’re extremely proud to take part in their celebration.

We Have a Winner!

We are very pleased to announce the winner of our Paddi Murphy 5K charity race giveaway. We offered Pajamas for All Seasons to anyone who signed up for the race, names to be drawn randomly from the pool of race entrants. Our winner is Cheryl, who lives in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area. That’s her on the right, at the race.

We sat down for a brief Q&A with the winner.

How did you hear about Softies and the Paddi Murphy 5K?
I heard about about Softies and the 5K from my neighbors, the Murphys. I also saw it on their Facebook page since I am a fan!

Would you care to share your finishing time with everyone?
I don’t know what my time was! I walked rather than running but I am proud to say that I was the first Paddi Murphy participant among the walkers to cross the finish line!

What was your favorite part of the race and/or after party?
My favorite part was hanging out with family and friends. The weather was perfect, got a little bit of exercise (emphasis little), then a great lunch and keg of beer. A perfect combination, and all for charity!

You won pajamas for all seasons. What line are you most excited to own?
I looked through your catalog and the ones I like are the pants and tops or the short sets. My favorites are:

Meghan 2 Piece Shorty
Kate 2 Piece Shorty

You’ve owned Softies PJs in the past. What do you like most about them?
They are so comfortable and I don’t get hot during the night. I own many pairs, but if they all happen to be in the wash, then I just don’t sleep as well. I wake up in the middle of the night too hot. Of course, my very favorite thing are the comfy bed jackets!

Any words of wisdom to future competitors in next year’s race and drawing?
I don’t think I have many words of wisdom on the race part. In fact, my kids would laugh at that. As far as the drawing, I would recommend inviting a lot of family to participate as it increases your odds of winning the drawing!

New Charitable Partnership

We’re extremely proud to say that our efforts at the Irish Traditions 5K helped raise over $2000 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

We’re just as pleased to say that we’re going to continue to work with the LLS going forward, helping to raise awareness and money in the fight against blood cancer. The mission of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is: “Cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.”

We already have a great deal of contact with cancer patients; people undergoing chemotherapy frequently suffer from night sweats (among other terrible side effects, of course); our Softies pajamas have proven to be an excellent way to help them sleep soft, cool, and dry. So working with the LLS is a natural extension for Paddi Murphy, and it’s one we’re really proud to make.

Irish Traditions 5K After-After Party

We had a great time at the Charities Challenge Irish Traditions 5K at Como Lake on St Patty’s Day. We had a great time, excellent turnout, and helped raise money for a worthy cause. Here are a few photos from the event:

At Least There are Robes

Charities Challenge Update

They say that God invented whiskey so the Irish wouldn’t rule the world. Fortunately for us, St. Paul is still up for grabs!

Thanks to all who have signed up for the Charities Challenge St. Patrick Irish Traditions 5K race. Just wanted to remind everyone that you can still register with us and for the race in advance and save ten bucks over registering on race day.

We’re still hosting an after-party, and everyone who signs up will still have a chance at winning pajamas for all seasons (four sets of moisture-wicking Softies PJs). Looking forward to meeting a bunch of you and seeing everyone there!
